padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">我从小喜欢设计各种奇怪的机构以及程序，而正是在港大我得到了对于自己创新能力的第一次正反馈。在工程学院，大一学生需要修读一门关于工程思维的必修课，课程中非常重要的一个环节是设计和完成一个开放式课题。喜欢捣鼓的我花了大量时间设计了一套根据房间内人的位置和距离自动调节风扇转速的机构，从而降低能耗。项目中使用到的技术在现在看来非常简单，但是在完成项目时如何兼顾项目的复杂度，可实施性对于大一的我是前所未有的挑战。虽然当初设计存在很多不足和欠考虑的地方，教授却打趣地评价我们的项目&ldquo;达到了毕业设计的水准&rdquo;。这对于当时的我是莫大的鼓励。</p> <p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">同时，我加入了港大的RoboMaster比赛队，与其他学校的参赛队不同，港大战队无论从指导老师还是高年级的学长姐都充分重视并鼓励个人的提出不同想法以及尝试不同点子。作为大一新生的我被安排全权负责空中机器人软件系统的设计，虽然在设计和测试的过程中经历了不少挫折和损失（烧坏了不少昂贵的硬件），赛队的指导老师Dr. Kenneth Wong始终以非常宽容态度鼓励我不断试错与进步。<strong style="box-sizing: border-box;">在今后的比赛与科研中，我已记不清收到过多少次这样的正反馈。这些对创新的鼓励和失败的宽容对于我往后科研探索中有非常重要的作用。</strong></p> </section> <section style="text-align: center; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">从技术积累方面，我们获得了港大计算机系的领域专家潘佳教授的辅导与支持，从设备和场地搭建方面，我们更得到了港大谭荣芬创科翼（Tam Wing Fan Innovation Wing，简称InnoWing）的场地与丰厚的启动资金。港大的InnoWing是一个新建的学生科创中心，有创新想法的学生可以参加或者自发组建SIG学生兴趣小组从而获得学校的设备，资金与场地支持。我们Astar比赛队作为创科翼首个学生兴趣小组充分享受到了学校的福利。</p> <p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;"><strong style="box-sizing: border-box;">科研的思维方式与比赛的思维方式有很大的不同，与比赛中实践优先的指导理念不同, 科研非常强调算法的系统性和普适性，科研课题所要解决的问题也远比比赛复杂。</strong>在这个项目中，潘老师以及他的PhD学生在算法描述以及实验设计方面给了我非常大的帮助，在这个项目中我非常完整和系统的体验了科研项目从立题，实验迭代，论证以及投稿的完整流程。</p> <p style="margin: 0px 0px 15px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box;">我们的研究成果也非常幸运的被机器人学的知名期刊IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters 接受。申请适合的PhD项目是一个困难的过程，本科四年期间很难得到充分的锻炼，也很难确定科研这条道路是否适合自己。为了进一步锻炼和体验科研，我也尝试联系海外的其他实验室进行研究访问。我有幸得到了斯坦福大学合作研究的机会，参与研究访问就意味着毕业时间将延期一年，港大十分宽容的同意了我的申请，同时也给予了我申请研究访问奖学金的机会。</span></p> <p style="margin: 0px;
