margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="https://info.compassedu.hk/173690584759515.jpg?watermark/1/image/aHR0cHM6Ly9pbmZvLmNvbXBhc3NlZHUuaGsvd2F0ZXJtYXJrMS5wbmc=/dissolve/100/gravity/SouthEast/dx/0/dy/0/ws/0.25/wst/2" alt="" width="444" height="296" /></p> <p> </p> <p>大二的时候，我参加了一学期的<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>英国坎特伯雷大学交流项目</strong></span>，这段经历让我意识到独立生活的重要性，激发了我对自我成长和探索世界的渴望。远离熟悉的环境和人际关系，我学会了自己独立处理问题和面对挑战。我不仅接触到不同的学术体系和文化背景，更是结识了来自世界各地的新朋友。与不同国家的同学交流，让我开阔了眼界，拓展了思维，更加深刻地理解到世界的多样性和复杂性。<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>回来之后国内外的反差也给了我不小的冲击，可能这就是所谓的“逆向文化冲击”。</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <p>我对学术目标和未来生活都有了更清晰的愿景，我想要离开舒适区，想走出去拥抱新的视野。想上世界最顶尖的大学、想换一种新的生活方式这样的想法扎根在了即将开始大三生活的我的心里。</p> <p> </p> <p>而在大四时，<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>即使我的成绩达到了保研标准，我依然放弃了保研名额。</strong></span>一方面，国内的研究生教育模式对跨学科探索的灵活性较低，我们专业也只能保研到211，这令我不太满足；另一方面，我依然渴望进入一个更大的舞台，接受全球顶尖学府的挑战。</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <h1><strong>无“92”背景上名校</strong></h1> <p> </p> <p>一开始，我的目标是申请英港新的商科项目，但我了解到了一些现实情况，<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>那就是由于双非背景的限制，我想上G5好专业的概率非常小，港新的学校更是非常注重“92”背景，</strong></span>而美国名校众多，对于本科院校也没有很硬性的限制，而且美国在经济学、金融和金工领域的STEM项目提供了更扎实的理论基础和更广泛的职业发展机会，于是我开始更加关注美国的学校，美国的top 30、甚至是top 15成为了我的目标。</p> <p> </p> <p>选校时，我优先考虑了学校的地理位置和职业资源。比如，像哥大纽大所在的纽约、像JHU所在的华盛顿特区，<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>都拥有丰富的实习机会和研究资源，这与我的未来职业规划高度契合。</strong></span>此外，我申请的项目均为STEM，目的也是希望通过OPT的三年工作签证积累更多的实习和就业经验。</p> <p> </p> <h1><strong>破釜成舟的大三</strong></h1> <p> </p> <p><strong>绩点是BG里最最重要的一个指标，它很直观地反映了一个学生的学习态度和能力。</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>大二结束的时候，我的绩点是3.69，排在专业第四名。我当时的目标就是保住3.70，冲上3.75。我们学校非常友好的一点是允许重修，而且成绩单会取高分录入，<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>所以我的策略就是拼命重修，能选就选，</strong></span>到时候实在来不及我可以不复习，但是如果一开始不选那我最后即使有时间复习也没有机会考试，这才是最懊悔的事情。</p> <p> </p> <p><img style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="https://info.compassedu.hk/173690585117268.jpg?watermark/1/image/aHR0cHM6Ly9pbmZvLmNvbXBhc3NlZHUuaGsvd2F0ZXJtYXJrMS5wbmc=/dissolve/100/gravity/SouthEast/dx/0/dy/0/ws/0.25/wst/2" alt="" width="701" height="750" /></p> <p> </p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><em>大三下宏观计划/部分日常计划</em></span></p> <p> </p> <p>尽管学业压力陡增，但我始终坚信这些努力会为我的留学申请奠定更坚实的基础。<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>这种“临危不乱、破釜沉舟”的状态，</strong></span>成为我申请季中最重要的转折点——从大三开始到大三结束，我的绩点从3.69到达了3.84。</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>在这里有一些提升绩点的小tips给大家：</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>首先，<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>一定要有明确和可行的目标，</strong></span>例如一个学期绩点提高0.5，这样会让你对每一门课要考多少分有一个大概的方向。</p> <p> </p> <p>第二，大学的考试难度并不高（课程难度和考试难度不是一个概念），你一定有能力考好。如果上课不想听、老师教得不好，导致知识点没有掌握，那就积极上网搜索学习资源，在掌握知识点并对这门课有了整体把握（例如列出思维导图）之后，开始拼命做题，这是在课程即使很难的情况下也可以把考试考好的关键。<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>大学期末考的本质其实还是在应试，那就一定有它的套路和应对方法。</strong></span>还有一个方法是看看有没有期末卷，每年的题型和套路都是差不多的，能搞透一年的期末卷就足以应对期末考。</p> <p> </p> <p>第三，一些学校可能开设网络课程，选网课、刷网课来提高绩点是可行的。但是要注意，<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>很多国外大学会注意选修和必修成绩的匹配程度，所以还是要首先重视必修课。</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <p>最后，一定要好好了解学校相关政策，不了解就多问学长学姐，甚至去问教务处的老师。<span style="color: #0086d1;">比如有的学校重修是不能覆盖之前成绩的，比如有的学校不会取最高分录入，需要谨慎重修。</span>再比如很多同学不知道选修课也是在成绩单上的，所以会轻视选修课。如果想利用学校的平台来提升背景，想要参加寒暑期或学期交流项目，也一定要多关注学校交流处、国合处的信息。</p> <p> </p> <h1><strong>在失败中找到突破</strong></h1> <p> </p> <p><strong>我在高中毕业的暑假就上了系统的雅思课，</strong>并且参加了一次雅思考试，当时只有6.0的分数。之后我一直在不断学习英语，比如修读学校开设的中级口语和高级口语课、每天背300个单词、每天看英语文章、听英语听力等，以及我去过英国在语言环境下生活了几个月，都让我英语水平渐长。也建议低年级的学弟学妹要重视英语，<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>重视大一大二时的积累和英语提升，</strong></span>这样才能在大三备考雅思的时候更加得心应手。</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>下面是关于雅思的一些应试经验分享：</strong></p> <p> </p> <h2><strong>阅读</strong></h2> <p> </p> <p>做匹配题需要对文章进行整体把握，我的方法是每读一段就写下中文大意，这样读完就不会忘记讲了什么，可以大大提高这种题型的正确率。</p> <p> </p> <p>还有一个有效提高阅读水平的方法是精读，<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>整理出一篇文章的学科词、生词、眼熟词，错题原因，以及所有题目当中的同义替换，</strong></span>因为雅思阅读和听力的本质就是同义替换。如果是因为文章意思看不懂那就整理每段的中心句。同时每天都要复习整理的内容，不然精读就没有意义。</p> <p> </p> <p><img style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="https://info.compassedu.hk/173690585290069.jpg?watermark/1/image/aHR0cHM6Ly9pbmZvLmNvbXBhc3NlZHUuaGsvd2F0ZXJtYXJrMS5wbmc=/dissolve/100/gravity/SouthEast/dx/0/dy/0/ws/0.25/wst/2" alt="" width="808" height="393" /></p> <p> </p> <h2><strong> 口语</strong></h2> <p> </p> <p>首先推荐杨帅英语口语公众号，他的每日积累“背三句”非常有用，<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>很适合培养语感、改善发音，</strong></span>同时所有素材都可以用于口语和写作中。</p> <p> </p> <p>我第一次考口语只有5.5分，我觉得这个阶段的特点就是没有素材，即没有词汇、词组、句型的积累。背诵可能是这个阶段到6或者6.5的最好方法。我当时准备口语就是去针对每一个问题准备特定的词组和句型备用，没有把握的甚至写下完整的句子加以背诵。</p> <p> </p> <h2><strong>写作</strong></h2> <p> </p> <p>写作的本质就是放慢了的口语。因为我口语真的花了非常多的时间准备，写作我就花的时间很少很少，基本上一周可能只会完整地写1-2篇。</p> <p> </p> <p>提高写作的第一个方式是多多积累可以替换口语表达的高级词汇和词组，<strong>推荐一本书叫</strong><span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>《会让你在IELTS写作与口语考试中更像一个Native Speaker 1000条》</strong></span><strong>，</strong>虽然其中有一些表达可能也过时了，但还是很有参考价值的。</p> <p> </p> <p>第二个方式是做对比翻译训练，选择一篇范文，根据范文的中文翻译成英语，将自己的翻译和原文进行对比，分析两者的差异，尤其关注语法、用词或结构错误，整理原文每段的逻辑走向。</p> <p> </p> <p>我的小作文写得非常好，但其实在高中刚毕业的时候，我觉得小作文特别难写，每次都感觉自己在写流水账。到了大三，我突然开窍了，意识到小作文的关键其实在于背诵。<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>一定要熟记所有关于上升、下降、趋势等不同表达，</strong></span>甚至可以默写它们，然后灵活地组合起来就变得简单多了。</p> <p> </p> <h2><strong>听力</strong></h2> <p> </p> <p>练习听力的方式就是针对没有做好的题目进行精听，并每天对精听的内容进行复习。下面是我的精听笔记：</p> <p> </p> <p><img style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="https://info.compassedu.hk/173690585339659.jpg?watermark/1/image/aHR0cHM6Ly9pbmZvLmNvbXBhc3NlZHUuaGsvd2F0ZXJtYXJrMS5wbmc=/dissolve/100/gravity/SouthEast/dx/0/dy/0/ws/0.25/wst/2" alt="" width="572" height="588" data-znz-article-border="1" /></p> <h2> </h2> <h2><strong> GRE</strong></h2> <p> </p> <p>GRE的备考过程可以说是一场“持久战”。我从大二开始接触这门考试，但直到一年后，我才摸清它的出题套路。期间由于焦虑和准备不足，我总是拿不到理想的结果，一直到申请季开始我还没有出分。这让我重新审视自己的复习策略，<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>开始分模块强化训练，重视整理和复习工作。</strong></span>最终，我在第五次考试中拿到了够用的分数。然而，<strong>备考GRE导致我的大部分项目申请晚了几周，</strong>这也成为我申请季中的一个小遗憾。</p> <p> </p> <p>我对大家的建议是一定要尽早备考，最好在大一、大二这样雅思不急着出分的时候多了解一下、系统地去学习一下GRE，背下托福单词（托福是GRE的基础），尽量背下GRE单词，学习长难句（建议学习杨鹏长难句）。</p> <p> </p> <p>另外，虽然gre是机考，平时最好对着电脑练习，但是最好打一份纸质的题目下来在订正的时候用，这样其实比较符合中国学生的改错习惯，也方便复习。</p> <p> </p> <h1><strong>丰富的经历助力申请</strong></h1> <p> </p> <p>丰富的实习经历无疑是我的加分项之一。我一共有四段实习，<strong>我曾在中信建投证券的投行部门参与IPO项目，</strong>协助财务问询与行业数据筛选。这段经历不仅让我熟悉了金融行业的实际操作，还提升了我的数据分析能力。</p> <p> </p> <p>同时，我也在南京大学健康医疗大数据研究所参与了慢性病管理项目，通过Python分析医疗数据，探索关键健康因素对疾病进展的影响。这些经验让我在文书中能够与项目申请高度契合，<strong>展现了我在金融与经济领域的多样化背景。</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>找工作要善用招聘网站，主动投递简历，同时要善于发掘人脉，珍惜内推的机会。在暑假和寒假，实习生非常饱和，可能很难找到实习，要多投递，不要轻易放弃，要相信投100封一定会有至少1家公司回复你。</p> <p> </p> <p>简历可以使用star原则，过往的实践、实习经历包含四个关键元素：<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>Situation、Task、Action和Result，</strong></span>通过明确这些要素清晰地表达在特定情境下面对的任务，采取的具体行动以及取得的结果。</p> <p> </p> <h1><strong>JHU下offer前的莫名预感</strong></h1> <p> </p> <p>申请季正式开始后，我分批递交了申请。拿到WUSTL的offer后，我和主申请老师商量调整了策略，<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>删去了后面的保底项目，将后续的申请集中在更多冲刺的项目上。</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <p>大四下学期主要就是在等offer，因为有WUSTL的offer在手，我没有特别紧张，而是开始了我的各国旅行，这一年我去了将近10个国家，丰富的旅行经历让我的视野更开阔、思想更开明了。</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>记得在新加坡旅游的时候，我凌晨四点莫名其妙地就醒了，</strong><span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>没想到几分钟后就收到了JHU的o</strong></span><span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>ffer，</strong></span>当时的惊喜和兴奋至今难忘。</p> <p> </p> <p>JHU之所以成为我的最终选择，是因为它不仅title好、位置安全，提供了灵活的课程安排，而且是利于找工作的STEM项目，dmv地区也有相对丰富的实习资源。</p> <p> </p> <p><img style="display: block;
