margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="https://info.compassedu.hk/info_imgUrl_phpVAaHae.jpg" alt="" width="461" height="346" data-znz-article-border="1" /></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h1><strong>早早准备很有必要</strong></h1> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>R1就收到Duke的offer，我的感觉是惊喜但也水到渠成，虽然我的绩点比较低，但是其实很早我就已经开始计划留学，早在大一，<span style="color: #0086d1;">我就感觉出法语对我来说并不是一个合适的专业，</span>从学习方法到专业前景我都有较多不满，所以很早就一定定好了商科留学的目标。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>我的申请准备时间线是：</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>1. </strong><strong>大一</strong>确定留学方向和国家</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>2. 大二</strong>上打商赛为实习做准备</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>3. 大二下</strong>为了去暑校第一次考雅思</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>4. 大三</strong>开始实习，到申请前做了四段相关实习</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>5. 大三下</strong>确定中介和选校，保证大四前考出雅思/GMAT</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>6. 大三暑假</strong>准备文书、推荐信和其他申请相关资料</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>虽然现在网络上考研后再准备留学的例子数不胜数，但如果想清楚留学对自己来说是最高选择的话，早早定好时间线是非常重要的，<span style="color: #0086d1;">就不会在申请前夕发现自己的bg&ldquo;缺胳膊少腿&rdquo;。</span>当然我的GPA无疑变成我的最大短板，但现在看来早早开始准备也是早早能拿offer最重要的先决条件。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><img style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="https://info.compassedu.hk/info_imgUrl_phpLqFkSn.jpg" alt="" width="484" height="234" /></p> <p style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><em>会飘彩带的录取页面</em></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h1><strong>排除法排除出来的申请准备</strong></h1> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>由于选择恐惧症，留学相关的很多决定，我都是用排除法决定的。<strong>对小语种就业的恐慌让我下意识选择了感觉上比较容易就业的商科</strong>；在留学国家的选择上，对本专业法语实在不感兴趣，低绩点可以说是一种必然，在排除了一些重绩点的留学国家后，我选择了不太看重美国和法国作为申请国家。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>其实在最开始我深知只选择了作为本专业对口国家的法国，但一方面法国的有名商学院不多，申请不够文档，并且两三年的学习我更不喜欢法语了，对法国也自然而然少了很多兴趣。<span style="color: #0086d1;">因此，相对不注重绩点，看重软背景的美国自然成为了我的首选。</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>由于本科院校是外国语大学，备考雅思对我来说并不是很难，但GMAT考了三次后才出分675，最开始在GMAT和GRE之间，我也是用排除法排除了要背很多单词的GRE，GMAT是更加需要灵光一闪的考试。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>我最想分享的是当时实习mentor给我的建议，如果时间允许的话，<strong>不要在一个月内连续考GMAT，</strong>因为可能那个月你的脑子都不太适合考试。所以在四月五月接连不出分的情况下，我选择了在八月再考，这次果然顺利出分。&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><img style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="https://info.compassedu.hk/info_imgUrl_phpFl24vQ.jpg" alt="" width="469" height="156" /></p> <p style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><em>艰难的大三一年备考记录</em></span></p> <p style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;</p> <p>选中介在我的申请过程的中也是很重要的一环，在我看来，中介不可能为我解决一切问题，比如文书的主线其实是应该自己来发掘，因为终归还是自己最了解自己，中介最大的作用是能缩短很多不必要的时间浪费，让整个申请流程变得高速顺利，大三寒假选中介的时候我是很纠结的。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>最后是妈妈作为出资人敲板定下的，并不是很懂申请的她觉得<strong><span style="color: #0086d1;">指南者</span></strong>这个名字她比较喜欢，虽然听起来比较仓促，但似乎这样的灵光一闪真的有用。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h1><strong>选择&ldquo;天时地利人和&rdquo;的实习</strong></h1> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>由于最开始选校只考虑了法国高商的管理学，管理学入学前只需要保持某一个路径的实习比较垂直好写文书就可以，大一犹豫了很久到底应该把实习定在哪个商科细分的方向，在大二考虑到跨申商科的需求，<strong>也是机缘巧合下和朋友参加了雀巢的商赛，自然而然也就将未来的career goal定成了快消mkt。</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>实习的数量、质量、关联度对于看中软背景地区的申请是很重要的，所以我尽量保持了统一的赛道&mdash;&mdash;食品类快消，再加上自身在咖啡店的兼职，很大帮助了我的文书的顺利书写，而这一切的开始都是雀巢的校园商赛，这是我认为的&ldquo;天时&rdquo;。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><img style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="https://info.compassedu.hk/info_imgUrl_phpuDWdxn.jpg" alt="" width="287" height="287" /></p> <p style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><em>&nbsp;在咖啡店学会的拉花</em></span></p> <p style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;</p> <p>但其实再回头看，选择快消mkt这条赛道其实是比较冒险的，我本科所在的城市很少有此类的实习，导致后期找实习的选择很少，<strong>如果再选一次，我反而可能会从互联网的产运入手，</strong>这是我觉得北京&ldquo;地利&rdquo;的实习。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>同时，我觉得实习最重要的是在工作中的反思和学习，很多时候实习只是变成简历上的履历，但其实实习是我们窥见一个行业一类工作的一个机会，每一次实习都让我对国内mkt的现状有更深刻的了解，短期来看，这有助于文书的逻辑梳理，<span style="color: #0086d1;">长期来看，这也有利于career path的细化和确立。</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>如果能顺利建立有关联的实习经历再好不过，但如果选择实习的时候没有注意到的话，就要在写文书的时候就要注意刻意的把经历串联起来，如果不是行业的相近，可以考虑实习内容的重合，又或者是递进式的推出自己最后文书的结论。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>实在不行的话，那就是请求援助的时候，中介的文书老师、身边的学长学姐都可以成为咨询的对象，但总的来说，<span style="color: #0086d1;">本科选择实习的时候一定要慎之又慎，</span>因为选择留学的话，可能本科后也就没有充足的时间实习了，相比之下，本科的时间要充足的多。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h1><strong>意料之外又情理之中的申请季</strong></h1> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>如果回到三年前告诉我自己我会拿到Duke的offer，我肯定是会很震惊的，不仅是因为Duke的title，更重要的是在最开始，我的目标院校仅仅只有法国高商，虽然我早早定下了申请时间线，但是中途也发现了需要调整的部分&mdash;&mdash;<strong>我的GPA逐年平稳下降，高商的bar却在隐隐提升</strong>，还好目标地区加入美国并不会对我的总体时间线产生大的变动，只是我会需要更专业的中介，需要更适合我的选校。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>大三寒假我就已经定下了中介，但选校却迟迟没有定下，从五月忙到七月才最后确定项目。我的主申方向是管理学和市场营销，美国的项目数量是五所，<span style="color: #0086d1;">最后定下了Duke、Umich、UIUC的管理学，USC和Nyush的市场营销。</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>现在看来这并不是一个很激进的选校，但是由于我的绩点实在是低的有些出奇，在申请前我是想着除了UIUC都是冲刺校，最后一轮我递交了Umich、Duke、Nyush的申请和UIUC和本科学校的推荐渠道，现在除了还没出结果的Umich，<strong><span style="color: #0086d1;">Duke和Nyush已经下offer，</span></strong>UIUC也已经通过材料审核，有大几率录取。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>可以说结果还是很好的，所以希望之后绩点低但是其他背景合适的学弟学妹可以大胆定校，尤其是美国地区。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><img style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="https://info.compassedu.hk/info_imgUrl_php9i7EeG.jpg" alt="" width="474" height="182" /></p> <p style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><em>十一月自己更新进度的选校表</em></span></p> <p style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;</p> <p>Duke MMS是我定校开始就最喜欢的项目，国庆回家我连夜又修改了文书，<strong>尤其是Duke特色的25 random things，</strong>这个特别的文书也是我尤其青睐这个项目的原因之一，终于在10.2的一轮ddl前上交了申请，说实话，比起12.4的最终决定日，我更紧张的是11.3的面试决定日，因为Duke的面试是highly selective的，<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>进了面试就意味着有大几率可以拿到offer，</strong></span>11.3当天我熬到了北京时间的凌晨三点，美东时间的下午两点，看到面试通知还忍不住和在美国时区的朋友聊面试聊面试官聊项目到五六点才睡，尽管第二天我还要去实习。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Duke的面试凭心而论，我认为是不太难的，面试我的是现在项目在读的同学，整个面试氛围非常轻松，我特意聊到了我和面试官的共同兴趣，也分享了我将会在演唱会回来的第二天收到offer ，决定希望他能wish me luck，面完之后我自己感觉是比较稳的了，最后也确实拿到了offer，<strong>第二天起床的时候还在Portal上发现Duke给了1,8000的奖，</strong>虽然因为要实习只是撇了一眼，但是真的是这一年我最幸运的一天。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><img style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="https://info.compassedu.hk/info_imgUrl_phpkiiD5s.jpg" alt="" width="360" height="606" /></p> <p style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><em>上班前和朋友报喜</em></span></p> <p style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;</p> <p>刚拿到这个录取结果其实我也犹豫了一下，既然有了这个offer，要不要R2再冲一下更好的学校，为此也深深焦虑了两周，可以说是只开心了出结果那一天，询问了文书老师、选校老师、亲人朋友、拿了同offer的网友很多很多人的意见，最后还是决定接offer，不再挣扎选校申请了。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>一方面有申请费留位费的考虑，另一方面是<strong>对于快消管培这个目标Duke这个项目足够我过简历关</strong>，就算是我申请到更好的学校，在过简历过这个部分也不会再有任何区别了，不如接了offer之后安心投入实习。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>由于一年制的特殊性，刚入学我就会迎来秋招，甚至是在美国倒时差秋招，所以我必须在本科毕业前攒够足够秋招的实习，现在生活的重心也放在了找实习做实习上。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>如果能重来一次，<span style="color: #0086d1;"><strong>可能我会把我的选校定的更激进一点，</strong></span>毕竟很有可能人只会有一次申请季，保底只要有个一两所就好，一定要确认好你的选校就是你录了就想去的学校，并且一定要早点做好准备，最好在一轮投完所有项目，虽然面试和文书压力会很大，但同时段intense的面试其实也会不断精进面试能力，也可以最大防止免受留位费的烦恼。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h1><strong>写在最后</strong></h1> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>没想到我的申请季会在十二月初就结束，看起来是短短的几个月，但其实我已经为之努力很久。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>从开始实习开始，最长一次回家是今年的国庆，在家休息了十天；大三的时候尝试实习、学业、标化三把抓更是苦不堪言；大二的时候整个学院所有人都在认真学法语，只有少数人早早开始逆行，每次和同学谈到也被说是早早给他们传递压力和焦虑。<strong>所以其实从大一决定留学开始，我的申请季就已经开始了，整个大学生活是我漫长的申请季。</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>祝福学弟学妹们能够早点思考好自己想做的事情，因为一旦目标决定好，前行的路就会明朗起来，<span style="color: #0086d1;">种下一棵树最好的时候是十年前，其次是现在。</span>希望大家申请季顺利，都能有学上～</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em><strong>END</strong></em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><img style="display: block;
